GAMBATTE KUDASAI!
Hey babies, mommy here!
I miss you all and it was really great seeing the active ones last night at IT fair!
Eehhh don't be demoralised by the prelims alrights, just be focused and work hard for finals!!!!
Try to complete all your past year papers from 2005 onwards, hopefully the more you practice, the more familiarized you'll be with the text and it'll also help with memorizing cos you'll be writing the answers over and over again! I did that for POA past papers and it really helped me remember the theories. :)
BTW, LETS ALL MEET AFTER THE EXAMS!
luff,
mommy misa!

A New Year Post
First of all, Happy 牛 Year to everyone! A brand new year, a brand new start. Hope you all will be able to “牛”转乾坤 to any unpleasant things that happened in the past year. Finally, all the best for the coming prelims and exams.
As a side note, all photos of our past events should have already been uploaded on facebook. Some better quality ones are also uploaded in photobucket account. If you wish to obtain original sized pictures, do not feel shy to ask around. Our main method for distributing full sized pictures nowadays is through the "Sharing folder" feature of the "Live Messenger".

OG outing on 3rd September
It will tentatively be a picnic and biking held at East Coast Park. We will then head to old airport road for dinner after which we will go down and support Daniel for his volley ball match against NTU(or is it NUS)? Wet weather plan will be going to Minds Cafe. I need details of what to bring and who is bringing what(include food, games, equipments).
To start off, I am bringing a ground sheet(yes, the nostalgic green one. brand new, no worries). Please reply in the comment box after this post. Oh ya, and also if some body could get a vehicle or like lend us his/her house to prepare food for the picnic? That would be great.

hello. i've headed down to blog my first post and put up the photos of the steamboat gathering for all of you.
(i dun fancy the usage of facebook
lah)
i was actually a little stressed there, sitting next to boonwei at the dessert shop cos she looks like she badly needs to slp. she was trying hard to catch what we were all talking about (which she always lagged) the explanation on the NIKE PACK thing to her was the most fantastic! haha
for those who missed out, it was a
damn full dinner. jus think: desserts right after a whole round of steamboat buffet dinner. and the dessert shop was jus across the street, 5mins away. no chance for the food to digest before we ate again.
oh did i mentioned that we tuned to the radio and listened to the table tennis finals match?

the onslaught of Z
A sneak snapshots of our lives as a student and the inevitable attacks of the Z monster.
Joan is so going to kill me. =x
Today's lecture was a killer.
I swear Jonathan Peh's orating skills is as good as a monotonous chimpanzee. It makes me wonder, how boring can a person gets? Coupled with a microphone system that works fairly well making him heard across the lecture theatre (his voice resonates as well as a lullaby), I cant help but noticed students, along with me, are slowly dozing off one by one.
The kick of finally becoming a student once more is beginning to subside. The emotional high of being
NORMAL once again is no longer there. The novelty of being a university student is wearing off.
Taking their places, up and foremost, are fanatically boring lecturers who have a knack of making time pass like a chicken who wants to cross the road. You'd never hear the end of it!
And I thought such things only happen during bad days.
When the weather is lazy and the temperature cool and you just want to lounge in bed.
Or when theres a mega sale going on at the moment which you
die-die also want to be part of.
My innermost, carnal, behaviour started rousing from the moment when I sat on the train and made my way down to school. Just by thinking about Jonathan Peh made my blood crawled in my veins.
I wanted to trade whatever nonsense he will be saying with my bed, blankie, and aircon.
Immediately, I was driven by a youthful perception of what I was forsaking than a firm understanding of what I would be embracing.
Another few more hours of much needed rest.
Skip the mundane drawl of being in a crowded train filled with commuters. and commuters.
and commuters. Truth be told, I'm mildly claustrophobic. My exterior personality is merely a reflection of what I'm trying to qwell in my heart. The longing to just get away when too many people are around me.
Personality aside, what laid ahead then, as my willful heart tried to persuade me, what drew me, were nothing more than abstract notions of growth, of freedom, of escape.
Just by saying this, and I'm confessing that I'm a hopeless romantic.
A hopeless romantic stops at his heart, but to show that I'm not as hopeless as I'm deemed to be, my brain will usually take a step further to rationalize everything.
Which concludes, though I'm a romantic, I'm not a hopeless case. =D
The battle didnt just stop here.
I'm not a humanities student for nothing. Liberal analysis of a situation was always my forte, i'm sure some of you have found out and started to find the randomness in me sort of weird. I cant help it. The switch from arts to business is something I'm only starting to accustomed myself to.
Gradually, the mind started taking over. Won the final assessment with my heart.
BraviaTo keep things between them smooth, I went for a jog to calm myself down as much as I want to train for the
Standard Chartered Marathon (of which,
YOU who are reading this,
DO JOIN before I start hounding
YOU with a
HAMMER) before I started to prepare for school.
And I'm whisked back home in a cab straight after lesson. After the mindless persuasion of my determined heart.
End of story.
I realised, as I sat down typing this, I'm revealing more about myself than I want to and as much as I want to keep some things to myself and to my closer friends, I decided, this blog will be dull if we dont use it to reveal more of ourselves to one another, making our friendships more real and less superficial.
And it will be fun reading some of our own thoughts, yeah?

Just some thoughts...
I used to dread the thought of coming to SIM.
(As compared to local universities and stuffs)
But I guess, ever since I met you all.
I look forward to schooling almost everyday.
We are just like a small family.
I like this kind of feeling.
And I'm really glad that I was able to go for FOC,
and yes, be part of Hermes (:
Thankyou!
Hermesは だいすきです!
Let the love live on!

The honourific Virgin
Theres always a virgin in every person.
I've blogged at various places before, including blogspot, but am I still considered a virgin then?
This is a case of sheer technicality I suppose.
As I write this, I'm deciding between posting verbal diarrhoea or verbosity that exceeds a master thesis (of which, I'm entirely not capable of, except by going round in circles). And after consulting the people who started this diamond in the rough, I decided to be simply - Myself.
The natural inclination for one is to look above and beyond the horizons as he/she journeys along in life in mis-steps, to see the world and more. In a whole, its the endorphins the onset of experience produce.
Thats the macro picture.
Little do we know, that in such instances, recurrently forgotten and left out, are the little things in life. The total and sheer annihilation of them all, obliterated into non-existence, just being left out of sight. Things that we take for granted.
Truly, little things dont count for much in almost all circumstances. The only times they are valuable are the times when the greatest upset in life are made, the greatest turn-about in life as a whole.
In other words - coincidences.
The Law of Large Numbers - little things do accumulate and unequivocally become alot, or rather, a safety net that we are so accustomed to, that we forget, the reasons behind when we ask for that particular coincidence to happen. A comfort zone.
I'm not one to have a penchant to major on the minors. In fact, I overlooked them most of the time, exasperating as it is, I cant seem to change that. Woe is me.
Writing this post made me reflect as I ponder on the ideal post that duly honour its arrival in this space. And I figured, what better way to announce to the world something thats incredible and in ways, often thought miraculous.
The coming together of friends. The creation of friendships. The bonds that started from nothing and strengthened along the way. Truth be told, I'm a person who firmly believes that the expiry of friendship does exist, but I'm more inclined to look at the better formation of it.
The gel that glues 2 different person together.
The hollering to the world : Come what may! We'll be there for each other!
And in this case, it was the start of something new (quoted from Highschool musical, Hooray!), the special feeling when 22 individuals starts to know one another.
The feeling is indescribable.
'Nuff said, there is a speck of truth in the statement : things in life that matter most... are the little things.
Kudos to us all.
Lets hope, we wont take this for granted. =)
Max woke up with a bang.
